Needed: Volunteers like you to provide short-term in-home care for friendly dogs, cats, rabbits, horses, and other animals in need until they are adopted. All veterinary care is paid by the fostering organization. Food and litter may also be provided. Fostering can last from a few days to several months. Over 200,000 cats and dogs are euthanized in our county animal shelters every year.

Praise for the Pet Foster Network

"Many animals are abandoned not because they have behavior problems, but simply because they have become inconvenient... I have the greatest respect for those kind souls who rescue and foster these forgotten, discarded animals who are not as lucky as my Marley was. They are giving them a second chance at the life every dog deserves."

-- John Grogan, Author Marley & Me
